Wandering around, without reason or rhyme?
Are you worried about rushing here or there?
What you'll put on, or how you'll style your hair?
Will you remember to stop and smell the flowers
Or is your mind consumed hour by hour?
Worrying about, what's ahead or behind.
What is it, really, that's engrossed your mind?
Maybe, discussing the latest gossip you'll leak?
Perhaps, fathoming pleasures of this world you seek
Or do you think of more eminent things?
Like prayer, the Bible, a relationship with the King of Kings.
Will you pursue a perfect love, like no other
Or are you content with finding love in each other?
Do you long for marvels and mysteries untold?
Or will you fall prey to ideologies of Men in the Days of 'Ol?
Your mind may be wrapped up in what car you'll drive, or maybe even your career.
I ask you Beloved, please lend me your ear.
Listen carefully, to these words I proclaim.
For all one knows, they could set your heart aflame.
Will you devote time to the One who is worthy, and gave it all?
Or are you too immersed in building a kingdom, that will surely fall?
